To say I’m a bit behind on introducing you all to our little guy is an understatement!  Better late than never, right?

On March 30th of this year, just 45 minutes after midnight, our little guy decided he was ready to come into this big old world.  My first thought when I saw him….man, you look just like your daddy.  Seriously, he’s a mini me version of my husband.  We instantly fell in love and for the past 4 months our lives have changed…and only for the better.

Grayson, if this blog post is still around when you get older, I want you to know how much you are loved.  Not only by your mom & dad, but by your grandparents, your aunt and uncles, and so many of our friends.  We were the crazy parents who took you at 6 weeks on a trip to Hawaii and you impressed everyone (you basically slept the entire way there and back)!  Then we took you on a road trip to Utah.  Which you loved for the most part…that car seat is not your favorite thing in the world.  And now you’re a big guy and sleeping in your own crib, in your room.  That one was hard on your mom, so she insisted on sleeping in the rocking chair that first night just to make sure you were ok 🙂

We pray that you grow up to be a man that follows his passions, whatever they may be.  That you treat people with respect and have compassion.  I would even be ok with you inheriting your dad’s humor 😉  Most of all we hope you have an unbreakable faith that gets you through all that life will throw your way…the joys and the challenges.

So here’s to the first 4 months.  I’ll continue to snuggle you until you’re old enough that it becomes embarrassing.
